I have a takeout Torsen T2 for sale. This is from a 2013 GT500. This is the same Torsen as the '12/13 Boss 302's, and also FRPP M-4204-MB. This unit has less than 500 miles on it, and is like new. It's in perfect condition and functionality. This will fit all 05-14 Mustangs with a reasonably simple install. This is the strongest Torsen built to date.

New firm price of $500 shipped.

Not the nicest thing to F up a guys ad but I think the stock '13-14 PP Torsen is a better piece than the previous Torsen you could buy from FRPP.
While we are derailing this ad, might as well try and clarify that as I too will be selling my Torsen.

Looks like you took the time out of your day to sell your parts in op ad.

What did you replace it with?

Went 33 spline.

That's not the same diff. You linked the "T31" which I wouldn't throw any more than about 400hp at without it blowing up. And I certainly wouldn't drag race on one. The diff I have is the BOSS 302 M-4204-MB (as I already mentioned), and is considerably more expensive than the little T31, as well as considerably stronger. In fact, it's the strongest Torsen made to date. Big difference here.

You are right, it is considerably better than the old Torsen.

This is still for sale. I may be open to reasonable offers.

How do you visually distinguish the MB from the T31? I'm not trying to f up your thread, I'm legitimately curious and possibly interested.

A few different ways. The "T31" will have round cutouts to see the worm gears, the MB doesn't. The center "pin", and the opening for the center pin are differently shaped, and the cutout where the pin bolt goes is also differently shaped. Also, the bolted end of the case is cast and machined differently.

I have personally destroyed a T31 at the drags in my old turbo '93 Cobra.

Here are the two:

So this would be a direct remove and replace for my '08 GT500?

my 13 gt came with one
Yes, 13/14 track pack GT's also got them.

Yes, however the ring gear backlash would need to be checked and possibly adjusted. It's no different from installing any other diff (like a Trutrac, or Detroit locker, etc). So aside from a possible side shim adjustment, it is a direct swap, and a reasonably easy install.

New price. $500 shipped. That's almost half price for a like new unit that will take all the abuse you want to give it, with no pesky clutches that wear out. No more one tire fire forever.

Quite a bit. Right now your limited slip unit gives up the power to the wheel with the least amount of grip. All the while wearing itself down until you'll have very little assist from the clutches virtually leaving you with one tire to do all the work . In addition to that, your factory LSD's spider gears are weak, and will likely fail with continued use at that power level, leaving you broken and stranded. Not a good scenario.

The Torsen here, and Trutrac (which is what I run), both work in very similar ways. They transfer power to the wheel with the most grip. So even if you're spinning tires, it's accelerating and working for you. Hard right hand turns, no problem. Two tires planted at all times.

And the best part is they don't wear out like the factory LSD. And even though I run a Trutrac, I'd trust this T2 behind the power you're making all day long.

ok given that info i may be interested. also i don't have the svtpp and i have 3.55 gears. what do you think the install would run on this (just a guess)
