I can't remember exactly if this how the system on my Explorer works, but according to the tech this is how it works:
If I turn the rear heater on from the front panel, no heat comes out of the vents in the roof, but only from the back/floor heater. If I change it to rear control from the front panel and control the heater from the rear controls, the vents will work. This sounds like complete crap to me as it makes no sense that you would not be able to control the roof vents from the main panel. If anyone would chime in with any info that would be great, especially if you have a 13' Explorer.
