Hey guys, Does anyone know the actually CFM of the 13-14 Gt500 Electric fans? And are the CFM higher than the 07-09 Gt500 Fans?

I have not seen any CFM ratings for either of these fan and shroud assy's, but the 2013/2014 unit looks like it would flow air much better though the radiator and H/E cores.............

^^^The 2013/14 shroud with the flapper doors to allow air flow through "at speed" causing less air restriction. This would also help to flow air though the H/E.

Thanks...

YW.

One other question that I have..............Since the 2013/14 fan shroud assy. appears to be thinner than the 2007-2012, does the 3x IC/HE reservoir still bolt in place on this shroud? or does it not fit properly because the mounting area is not the same?

Shelby Perf. Parts lists different cooling tanks for the 2013/14, is it because the shroud is thinner than the 2007-2012? If so, then tanks would also need to be purchased to use this thinner shroud on an earlier car?

I'm not sure about this, but since the tanks attach to the shroud, and the shroud appears to be thinner, is this an issue for tank mounting locations, It may not be, but IDK?

Robert, I just installed the 2013/2014 upgraded fan assembly on my 2008 due to my original fan burning up relays at high speed operation. It is a direct replacement. The shroud itself is almost identical to the original, it is the fan motor that is lower profile, giving the illusion of the shroud being thinner. I have an extra capacity PFAB reservoir that mounts in the original location, no modification needed.

I had no problem with mine.

^^^You and Catmonkey........

Very Cool!!

Thanks, I have been holding off on buying this newer fan/shroud assy. because I did not know "if" it was also going to require reservoir changes.

Thanks for the info, and Catmonkey thanks for the picture.

Robert, the only thing that doesn't fit is the hose that goes from the manifold to the heat exchanger. The lower retainer hardware is missing from the later radiator shroud. I just used a few cable ties to keep the hose out of the way of the belt. I'll likely pop for the correct hose when I upgrade to the later intercooler pump. That's the only "gottcha" on the install.

After going back and looking at your pics, I don't see you have that retainer on your shroud anyway, so it might be a moot issue on the earlier cars.

I have the 13-14 radiator, fan/fan shroud in my 07. It is a direct replacement. The 13-14 fan is a little more compact and has 7 blades instead of 6. The shroud has flaps that open at speed to allow extra cooling. The fan/fan shroud takes a couple minutes to install.

Actually the pictures I have added are from other posts I have read related to this upgrade.............doing my homework before the purchase. ;-)

Those pics shown above are mine. The missing retainer at the bottom for the intercooler hose is really a non-issue. Like Catmonkey, I just strapped mine up with a couple ties and went on my way.
