Son has a 2012 v-6, hit a deer, minor damage, no airbags activated. Got it back from body shop, bumper cover and bumper support bar replaced, so air bag sensors/wiring likely disturbed at least. A few months later he is having a fuel pump shutoff and stalling situation after the car warms up. If you let it sit and cool down, will restart and run for a while. Local shop figured out it was fuel pump shutting off, but couldn't figure it why, his local Ford dealer says its a sensor/relay module and wants over a grand to replace. He is in college and 5 hours away... running up an Uber tab... Has anyone seen this? He didn't write down the exact part they said needs replacement, only remembers an R in the part description, maybe, so I don't have that. Anyone have any thoughts? thanks for any help.
