Slammed 2012 Kona Blue 5.0 - Updated pics on Page 3!

Hey guys, I'm new here. Had the car for about a month now, first Mustang.

Options it came with:
- Black leather seats
- 6 Speed
- Brembo brake package
- Glass Roof (looooove this)

I traded in my 08 STI for it about a month ago.

Thoughts on the car so far:

- Feels bigger in every way, which is good
- Very quick in stock form
- Tires have very good traction and grip
- Ride is nice and firm, but needs to be ALOT lower
- Nose dives under braking / rises under acceleration
- Needs HID's
- Love the XM radio and the sound system
- Love the integrated blind spot mirrors
- Really like the beefy steering wheel
- Like that I can change gauge colors
- Love the dash design
- HATE the shifter feel, it's very rubbery when going into gears and the skip-shift feature is very annoying
- Love the turn signals even more from inside the car
- Love the push to open gas cap
- Don't like how the windows go down when you pop the door open
- LOVE the color, alot <3
- Hate the foglights
- Still not used to the steering wheel controls, my cruise control and volume were exactly opposite on the STI
- Wish I had auto climate control
- Needs window tint, would make the glass roof stand out even more
- Wheel hops pretty bad when launched
- Love how the gauges flash red when redline is reached
- Wish it had hood struts
- Wish seats had more thigh support on sides
- LOVE the gear ratios, i wish more cars would do this

I couldn't resist and have already ordered a few goodies, but I'll save that for another post

The mod bug hits pretty fast haha. Congrats on the new car it's beautiful.

Thanks you have NO idea about the mod bug haha

I already purchased:
- Fortune Auto Coilovers (getting custom made, 1st set ever to be made for a 2011+ Mustang)
- OEM HID headlights (Great price, 1 more set left! Someone should jump on this: FORD MUSTANG GT HID HEADLAMP PAIR 2010-2011 HEADLIGHTS | eBay)
- Saleen grill
- BBR Billet antenna
- MRT hood struts
- Roush side splitters

Kona blue looks awesome with the brembo wheels.

Welcome and gorgeous ride. Wish every day I had a glass roof but I bought mine $8k under sticker as a 4k mile trade in so I sacrificed. I know the WRX is a bad ride performance wise but there is nothing like the look and feel of a Stang and the 47+ years of heritage that come with it.

Congrats and Welcome! These cars are amazing, I just came from a 2007 STi Limited built block and big turbo and the 5.0 puts more of a smile on my face everyday. Hope to see you around some of the meets.

I hope I get to keep my STi and get a 5.0 or the new GT500 in the next couple years.

Looks great
Thanks!
Did the same thing about a year ago. Traded my 08 Silver Sti for a Race Red 2011 GT. Welcome aboard.
Nice, there are definitely quite a few of us that did the same haha

Don't do it. Engine failures left and right.

Thanks. I agree, some of the quality I've been seeing, especially with aftermarket parts that have been around for many generations, is amazing

Thanks, I actually already installed them but pictures were too dark to post. Will update for sure.

LMAO JIMI? This is Ali. You SOB you would be on here hahaha. I recognized your screename from your old plates you had on the STi. But yeah dude, I guess I'm like following in your footsteps or someshit carwise for the past 2 cars lol!
I hope I get to keep my STi and get a 5.0 or the new GT500 in the next couple years.
I regret ever buying my STI, I blame Ford for not offering 5.0's earlier on
Nice looking Kona Blue!!
thank you!
Congrats man. As everyone knows Kona IS the quickest color
Thanks, damn shame since I plan on having mine low and slow haha
Congrates and welcome aboard.
Thank you!

100% agree with you here.

It's not that great, I'm still moving the temp up and down. I feel like the sensor isn't that accurate or something. Having had this in the last 2-3 cars I owned I know it's not me.

The heated seats suck too, you're not missing anything here.
