Hello all, not sure if this is the right section to post this question, please move if it's not.
I left my driveway the other day and noticed the oil light was on and the gauge was down, it went back up and the light went off. Then back down, back and forth a few times then the light stayed on and the gauge down.
My first diagnosis was to ground out the plug to the pressure switch (gauge and light still work).
Next I went and got a pressure switch, started the car and gauge still down and light on. Out of hope I went back and told them the switch was faulty and got a new one, still the same outcome.
Next I borrowed a friend's mechanical gauge and put it in the port where the pressure switch goes, started the car and no pressure....
So all fingered pointed to the pump, tore it all down and pulled the pump out, spins perfectly and no visual damage or binding.
Is there something I'm missing here?
Please help!! thanks!!
