My buddy just bought a 2011 Shelby Vert at a used car lot with a Whipple how do you tell what size it is ?

Looks like the ford racing 2.9 kit to me but check the numbers to be sure and get a/f gauge pronto.

2.9. If it was a 3.4 the hood would be aftermarket or motor lowered and by the valve cover to brake distance it has stock mounts

Also look at the 2 support "ribs" coming from the pulley neck. The 3.4 and above have 3 ribs. The 2.9 only has 2. Smaller than 2.9 has no ribs.(?)

Suprised they didn't pull off the supercharger before trading it in.

Probably didn't have the stock parts. I don't have mine anymore.

OP, make sure your buddy has the programmer that's supposed to go with it. If not, tell him to order one immediately! If something goes south and the car has to be returned to stock by the dealer, he's screwed because he won't be able to get the current tune back.

Ask him to look at the chrome ring on top of the blower near the front it may have a stamping on it, if it says 175hp its a 2.9. If it says 210hp its a 3.4- looks to be the 2.9 though.
