i am wondering why this kit doesn't need a tune. is it because of different pcm,or does the kit not lean the the tune like the 05-10 cars. i know you can pick up hp with a tune but do you think the kit would be even more effective with a tune..

Very nice!! Do you all have any before and after dyno graphs? Have you all done any tuning after adding this to see what the gains could be with a tune?

Good Question, when you increase the diameter of the MAF housing too much it decreases air velocity across the hot wire element, making the ECU think there is less air going in instead of more. When designing this kit the MAF housing size was taken into great consideration to not only make more HP but to keep the ECU happy in the process which took about 8 different test housings to find the sweet spot. This testing was done while monitoring MAF voltage. Although a custom tune is not required with this new kit we imagine that a tuner will give even greater gains!

Please let us know how we can help!

We will be posting the most recent chassis dyno graph and a video to the MMR website in the upcoming week. The two test vehicles have picked up 14 (auto) and 21HP (manual), we expect these gains to be greater with a tuner but we have not yet tested them. Our primary goal was to make a kit that did not require a tuner, especially since they are not available just yet.

Unfortunately no, like the 2005-2010 the fender well area is too tight/small for tube routing or a air filter. A custom kit of course would be possible but not without heavy modification and sheetmetal cutting.

We wil be posting the video of the Automatic and dyno chart within the upcoming week along with the official product release and full specs, they are in stock now and shipping and the feedback from the 25-30 kits that have shipped thus far has been great. Please let us know how we can help!

We didnt want to use aluminum because of the heat soak ,and plastic was out of the question because you cannot attach the DET tube strong/well enough due to its large diameter hose, so we settled on Powdercoated Steel tubing which is very strong yet lightweight and allowed us to retain the DET tube and it does not absorb heat like aluminum (this is why heat sinks are made of aluminum). We feel we ended up with a part that will outlast the car compared to plastic that eventually breaks down and becomes brittle and this is why we offer a lifetime warranty on this kit.

Hope this info helps, please let us know if we can do anything for you!

Looks great and seems to be a good bang for the buck hp wise!
Your marketing guys did right by offering a system thats 100% plug & play
with no tuning. Well done...
