So i decided to take the new daily to the track, 2 hour drive so i could only get 3 pases after 30-40 min cool downs, first pass i tried launching the car at 1500 foot braking other 2 pases were leaving at idle and slamming the gas, need to get my 60ft down, any tips besides torque converter? haven't decided the next step on the car so when i make up my mind i'll add de TC

add 3 psi to your tires they are to low for your hp levels- mayb 4 you should be pulling 1.85-1.88 and the car should not even be able to spin those tires you have at the track at you hp level, what was your DA, with your mods and tires you should be 11.95 to 12.15's .
Until you add a converter then you will have traction problems- is your front sway bar still on? the car drives fine with out it especially with the stiffer rear control arms that you added it tighten the car up so there isn't as much body roll. Try staling it as hard as you can against the brakes and let it fly- thatwas the best way mine when stock converter and NA launched- I heard the 11 converters are slightly looser than the 13-14's and usually generate slightly better 60' by a few hundreths. I ran 12;30's tune only with the factory p zeros all seasons at 25 psi- and only went to mid 1.8's going to a drag radial( a lot more consistant ) at the track but disappointing for the 650 I spent on the 18" radials, This was in good air thou, 0 to -500 da.

thanks for the tip, if weather colaborates i'm giving it another try next friday following your advice, the car is tuned by Greg K. @ Lund Racing, DA was 1023hPa with 60% humity according to my Iphone's weather app

Also i'll start reducing weight, nothing to drastic, just strut tower brace, rear end weights, front sway bar, even drain the front wiper reservoir lol, each pound counts, i want to hit 11s with the car as is, i think all is in the 60ft

The best 60fts I've ever seen anyone squeeze out of the stock converter have been low 1.8s. That goes from a friend of mines bolt on 2011 GT with 17in Nitto drag radials to another friends 2014 GT with a VMP supercharger on 15in Mickey Thompsons.

The 2011 only has Pypes cat and muffler deletes, JLT intake, a Bama tune that he added some timing to, BMR lower control arms, and he removed his front and rear sway bars and ran 7.78 @ 92mph with a 1.85 60ft at our 1/8th track when I was there. I was really impressed

^^ agreed- but s197's are a 3 link you need to leave the rear sway bar, not like the old fox body or sn95 days of the 4 link and lower hp you could get away with out the rear sway bar because rear squat was increased- and maybe so with the factory converter on the s197s but as he adds hp and launches harder the rear sway needs to stay and or get increased in stiffness.

Converter to hit 11's. Nice runs and sounds about right. When my car only had tune, jlt and axle backs, it ran 12.4 @113mph. 2.0 60'. Da was 9xx and temp in the low 80's. With 3400 stall, x pipe, cat delete, some weight reduction and 275 nt05r's it ran 11.9 @117mph. 1.7 60'. Da was 3300 and temp was like 100. I felt like the tune was off on how it ran though. Have a new tuner and hoping to see what she does back in cooler weather here in two weeks. Also with a 100 wet shot.
