I have a 2011 GT500 Vert with a TVS swap.
I currently have the Base Gt500 rims with 255/40/19 front s and 285/35/19s out back, I am running Michelin Pilot A/S 3s for daily driving in the winter.

For the spring, summer and fall, before temps drop below 40, I wanted to throw drag radials on, but there are none that fit the 19" rims properly.

So, I found i could buy the 2010 GT500 Vert rims, they are 18s, and mount them with 285/40/18 Nitto 555Rs.

Questions:

1 - Will the 18" rim color match the 19s in front.

2- If I buy two aftermarket TPMS sensors for the rear rims, will they sync with the stock system and the stock TPMS in front?

Here is the car now:

I have wanted to do the same thing but the vert wheels have a different finish than the coupe wheels, and I haven't seen any 18 inch versions finished in grey aftermarket or otherwise.

As for 19" tires, Mickey Thompson ET's fit or Toyo R888's, though not a drag radial, have a reputation for being pretty sticky.

The Toyo R888s would be my 1st choice.
Unfortunately a 295/30/19 probably won't fit the stock rim, plus it is 3" shorter than the 285/35/19, might look weird.

If I picked up a set of 18s, would they look to small on the car, the tire diameter would be the same.

For example 285/35/19s vs 285/40/18s out back and 255/40/19 vs 255/45/18 in front.

Do the 18s style look as good as the dark argent 2011 wheel?

285/40ZR-18's on all 4 corners, on the 2010 GT500 vert wheels.
I prefer the 2 tone look compared to the stock base wheel.
It's your car & your decision.

That looks good, thanks!!!

I have also thought about a set of Black GT500 replicas 18x9 front and 18x10 back.

actually, as long as all of the tires 18s or 19s currently are the same height, I could always keep a spare in the trunk from the set I am not using.
