Has anyone taken their bone stock 2011 Stang GT with 3.31 gears and street tires to the track? What kind 1/4 mile are you running? How much slower compared to the 3.73 gear?
Everything tested out there(like in the magazines for example)uses the 3.73 gears.
I did read about the powerhouse guy than ran a 12.7 stock with the 3.31 gear but besides that there seems to be nothing else out there. Something tells me that guy has a serious driver mod and isn't the best example.

I would guess its not a terrible amount slower on stock tires. And it seems most of these shop cars that are running 12's stock have better than average drivers.

On street tires and bone stock I ran consistent 12.8's @ 110

I ran 12.3 with a tune and sticky tires. In crappy DA. I did not pick up any MPH but knocked a 1/2 second off my time.

That is with a fully loaded,M6, glass roof car. and I weight 260lbs myself.

VIDEO!

In this weather right now I am more than confident I could run 12.1 with no problem what so ever.

EDIT: drag times says DA was about 1900 at the time of the run.

Just as a comparison:
2011 Base GT Auto
12.58 quarter mile at 2900 ft density altitude, 1470 base altitude, temp in high 60s, Speedworld Az with following mods:
1. Magnaflow Street axleback
2. Roush CAI
3. 91 SCT canned tune
4. 275/40/17 Nitto NT05R tires on back

The car blew us away with a first run of 12.68 and refused to run above 12.7
Stock 3.15 gears and everything else but don't forget that auto has a 4.17 or so first gear - lower than the M/T ! I am a beginner driver with about 5 passes on the clock. The key is hooking it up with some good sticky tires..

The guy that tunes my stuff bought one when they came out. It's a 6A with 3.31 gears. Don't know all the options on it. He ran 13.30's @ 107. He weighs 300+lbs. He let the guy that works for him drive it and he was running 13.20's @ 107-108. He dyno tuned it and took it back out with the other guy driving and was running 12.8's 109-110. All on factory tires and crappy Oklahoma summer weather.

No air pressure adjust on the 12.58. That would be approx. 12.3 at sea level non adjusted. Those runs were at a non corrected altitude of 1470, d.a. of 2900 that another racer gave me. The auto trans cars are faster than the manuals with same minor bolt ons.
