All of the research I have done on some of the improvements done in the 2011 model year, I keep seeing that their was a boost-a-pump added from the factory. Anyone know much about this? Where is it and how effective is it compared to the aftermarket units (would an aftermarket boost-a-pump even be an upgrade?)

I believe if the ecu detects a lean condition it will raise voltage from the alternator to crank up the fuel pumps. It is not as effective as a boost-a-pump

Correct.....your tuner can also modify the voltage tables...I added dual vmp boosters on my 12.
