Would like some feedback on purchasing either of these two Roush's, and no...a Shelby is not in the equation.

I found a 2012 Stage Roush pushing 615 rwhp (mods are smaller pulley, throttle body, JTL intake, and tune). This Roush is loaded including, 20in Chrome Rims, Navigation, Tool Box, etc and has 15,000 miles on it. Got the seller down to $37,500.

Now, I have also found a bone stock 2010 Roush Stage 3 with just under 8000 miles on it, seller is currently holding at $38,500. Has the standard Roush Stage 3 options for the year and model. Comes with the 20in chrome rims.

Both Roush's are Black, with the 2012 having the green striping/accents/lighting. Both are one owner cars, always garaged never seen rain, to the best of my knowledge.

Based on research and information gathered, it seems that the 2010 would be the better deal. It seems like based on the current rwhp on the 2012, it could be on borrowed time. Both the cars are pretty much identical in exterior and interior design, aside from the new 5.0 engine, 6 speed transmision, and the square tipped exhaust on the 2012. It seems to me with the 2010 having the forged engine and capable of suupporting mid to high 600 rwhp, that it would be the better buy. Plus finding it bone stock would give me first crack in modifying it.

So what would you all recommend? Do you think they are good deals based on mileage, model, and price? Personnally I am leaning more towards the 2010. Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks. Jake

Aren't the 2012 Stage 3 Roush Mustangs running an aluminator? Regardless if the 12 was tuned by a reputable tuner I'd take the 5.0 over the 4.6

The Aluminator is a $8000.00 option for the 2014 Stage 3's. Those are the only 5.0 engines that contain true forged components and have a lower compression rate for higher boost levels.

The 2012 Roush Stage 3 does come with an Aluminum block, but it is just the basic 5.0 engine with Roush's TVS 2300 supercharger.

Yeah, 615+ whp is just about the outer edge of what's considered safe with an otherwise stock Coyote. I'd go 2010 as well.
