**New info: it's got a Spec triple clutch. Insinuation is that since Shelby doesn't typically upgrade the GT500 clutch that they are commonly toasted at the higher power levels. Does this hurt value significantly? Also, some of the fasteners under the hood as well as the tops of the coilovers are showing some corrosion and the hood louvers look to be faded and a bit spotty. Supposedly this happens after some miles "on all of them" due to the heat coming out of the engine bay. What do you guys think? Thank you again for all of the opinions and info. I probably misspoke when I used the word "investment." My plan would be to help a friend of a friend get out from under a debt, have a (relatively)unique vehicle to enjoy for a while, and sell it within a year to a true Shelby fan without losing any $ out of pocket. Enjoying it for a year would be enough return on investment for me, and likely right at that point where I usually get bored of a vehicle and start getting the mod itch. Don't get me wrong; I *am* a Shelby fan. Just not a fanatic. I'm more the guy that would rather have this car's drivetrain in a sleeper-ish '91 notch becaue I don't like them to see me coming. ;-) I've also gotten heavily involved in LS/LT stuff with a LSA CJ7, built '07 CTS-v, and a turbo-but-soon-blower '14 Z71. Should be nice to get back into a Mustang for a bit. The asking price has been all over the place, from $55K to $40K and I'm going to negotiate something tomorrow and either pull the trigger or not. I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks again.
