What happened with the stock engine?

I'm honestly not completely sure... I bought the car with the engine blown. When I took it apart, the heads were badly pitted from detonation and one of the pistons was actually hitting the head. I didn't want the headache of trying to repair the heads and fix whatever was wrong with the short block so I decided to go the reman route. New motor has been solid....no issues to note, and I would highly recommend going this route for anyone who needs a new motor.

Can someone explain the head cooling mod?

Ya, from the factory (especially in the early run 2003 models), the passenger side head has poor coolant flow. The back of the head gets so hot that it can damge the valve guides which can cause the infamous cobra 'head tick'. The head cooling mod is simply a hose that allows coolant to flow out of the back of the head (which is where the hot coolant causes problems) and into the cooling system.

Whats the number of the Posi Ported Eaton?
Any idea of how many miles are on the Eaton?
Where did you get the Eaton from?

The car looks good!
It's great to have a safe tune.

PM also sent.

The bill says that the port was done in Feb 2012 so by looking at the mileage records on the carfax I can guess that the ported Eaton has about 6k miles on it.

The Eaton was on the car when I bought it. I have the original bill for the port work
