I was told ALL anniversary cars had the 9 thread heads. Again, this is hear-say so no proof. Hopefully OP will chime in with confirmation.

OP, I am from central IL and have a DSG coupe that just rolled 30K, Gen3 2.9 whip, Fore return system, RXT clutch, Kooks LT w/X-pipe, E85 and 93 tunes. I miss my old drop top, maybe we can talk. I will be in touch.

They say the ones built in the end of 03 got the 9threads but the earlier ones built didn’t. But sounds like exactly what I’m looking for lol, just LMK!
