My opinion of the overall condition:
I would rate the overall condition of the truck a 8 out of 10.
The truck is mechanically sound and probably a 10/10 in that department.
The only knock is the condition of the paint.
The paint is not show quality as there are a few minor flaws (as to be expected with a 72,000 mile, 10yr old truck).
In addition to the minor flaws, the bed has obviously been repainted before and not done correctly.
- There are some runs in the clear coat on the passenger bedside (about a 1' by 1' area).
- There appears to be a finger print in the clear coat around the rear passenger side taillight.
- There is about a 10" scratch above the driver side rear wheel well that has been touched up.
- There are some runs in the clear coat on the underside of the rear bumper (only noticeable while looking up from under the truck).
The paint looks near perfect from 3 feet away, but upon closer inspection (1 foot away or closer), you can see the imperfections.
Honestly, the imperfections are really not that bad and not necessarily that noticeable...I just want any prospective buyers to know before hand because they are hard to show in pictures.
I have don't have an estimate on what it might cost to correct the imperfections but the asking price below takes into account these imperfections.
A few other things worth noting:
- The truck does not have a spare tire (it was missing when I bought the truck).
- The cruise control will not engage. Not sure what the issue is???
- Front tires may need replaced soon (I'll get the actual tread depth soon)
- The steering wheel wrap is sagging (has cover on steering wheel now).
