I recently sold an 09 CTS-V and picked this up as a toy. I am a licensed dealer in TX although it is not my full time job, more of a hobby. If this causes any concerns or makes this post a problem, apologies and moderators, please feel free to delete.
I bought this '03 from a local enthusiast and it needed some TLC - which is outlined below. I was excited about it based on the originality and substantial ownership and maintenance history. Included are the SVT books/manuals, SVT letter and Certificate, factory window sticker, warranty receipts, maintenance receipts and hand logs of general upkeep. Also included are receipts and manuals for the tasteful electronic upgrades including a pro-installed Image Dynamics/Kicker Subwoofer system and the Bel Cobra hardwired radar detector. This car appears to have had a mature ownership history - very organized and complete.
Since owning this example, I've done the usual bevy of subtle detailing and the common Cobra correction items needing attention. Thanks to this site and the shifter gaskets site for all the info. This included the following:
- New OEM Clutch Cable
- Renewed Lifetime Window Tint
- Pinion Seal Replaced, Bearings Inspected by Pyle Brothers, Baytown
- Rear End Fluid Change
- Full Interior Detail
- Driver's Seat Bottom Redone in OE Material
- Clay Bar/HD Uno/Zaino Exterior Detail
- Custom Hood Graphics by Coupland Signs, La Porte, TX
- Oil Cooler Adapter O-rings to be refreshed 01/05
Other things to note:
Tires are OE Size 275/40/17 Nitto NT555, Fr: 9/32";Rear 7/32"
The hood graphics were custom installed by well known artist Chuck Coupland at Coupland Signs - these hide some blemishes in the factory finish which were touched up professionally.
Expect a few minor chips and very minor wear and tear for 65k miles
The black rubber lower spoiler does have a few scrapes, but is securely attached and functional
