awesome bike! I test rode one of these before buying my SV-1000 and was very pleased with the handling and power. Couldn't justify the price. Still can't! haha My brand new Buell 1125r was on the road for about your asking price!

Yeah, I love rc51's. Also to anyone that purchases this bike, I will give them my cost on any riding gear they want which will be 10% over dealer cost.

How does it compare to a 4 cylinder bike? I had a '01 GSXR 1000, that had your typical bolt on mods. It made 152 rwhp. I have considered getting another bike, but don't want to lose much performance over what I had.

Doug, probably a bit more usable power for the road than your GSXR. I'd love it, but my back wouldn't anymore. I do miss my Interceptor and GPZ, though.

The previous owner had the bike dynoed at TSR Performance on there open house and it did 126hp/78tq. I think the bike is a fast bike and more then anyone ever needs on the street. The torque on this bike is amazing. IMO this is probably one of the best machines honda ever made. In its day it dominated the 1000cc class with Nicky Hayden, and is still a track day favorite for many. Even though this bike is fast, it is easy to ride and keep the speedlimit.

Doug,

The torque is probably about the same but the RC51 will lack in the HP department. And I have to say that 01 was STRONG and probably had a lot of work done to it to make that kind of power. I would say that you need to look for a newer 1000 (07 and newer).

PM sent...interested if considerably negotiable on the price. Great looking bike though from the pics. Thanks.
