This car belongs to my cousin, Lil Eddie, and he and my Uncle have been building it for about a year or so now. We've got quite a bit done to it the past few months, including an IRS to Solid-Axle Swap, '03 Cobra Wheels & Tires w/315 Nittos, and just a little Vortech V2 SQ :king:

Today we spent several hours cleaning, clay baring, waxing, and polishing the car. Here's some photos from today's progress:

This is Lil Eddie's first car, and he's helped along the way of the build, and we hope to be able to teach him a lot about cars, Mustangs, life and upholstery (duh) while spending time with him building the car. I'm sure all you dad's out there can relate to that, right!?!

Here's some photos of the 315 Nittos & Solid-Axle swap (all-wheel-disc 8.8" out of a '95 Cobra, IIRC; with Tubular Upper & Lower Control Arms -- thanks to saleencoupe93, Hurstmeister, & Kailuaz for the parts to make the swap work)!!!!!!

Pay no mind to the mis-colored bumper, lol. This was a great upgrade over the "black widow bodykit" bumper that was on it when Eddie got the car :D

Blown IRS:

We finally got to take the car out to the local 1/8th mile track last night, SunShine Speedway. Here's how the runs shook down:

First run - Full tire pressure, soft scrub of the tires:

R/T: .738
60': 2.015
330: 5.556
1/8: 8.397
MPH: 87.47

Second run - dropped tire pressure to 17-19 psi (analog gauge), heated tires up a bit more, higher rpm launch:

R/T: .465
60': 2.537
330: 6.064
1/8: 8.896
MPH: 87.77

Third run - tire psi same, water box soft scrub on the tires, heated tires up less than 2nd run, ~3,000rpm launch (Pro Tree) - MiDiablo drove; first time down the track since 2004 :

R/T: .589
60': 2.085
330: 5.586
1/8: 8.448
MPH: 86.09

Car's previous best was an 8.9X, and we did not utilize the intercooler (didn't have any ice) these runs. We'll have to remember to pack a cooler next time w/some ice And we were happy as hell to just get out there, drive it, have fun, and hang out w/some friends!!!!!!!!

Hood, Wing & Tails all came w/the car - sorry. It had an equally nasty rear bumper, which we got replaced & need to get the new one (OEM '01 Cobra) painted to match. The hood's actually not that bad, but the wing & tails could use some attention. You guys gotta remember, this is a 14 year old's car, so his budget isn't what some of yours may be :D We've got our eyes set on a set of tinted '01 Cobra Tails right now, and also keeping our eyes peeled for '03/'04 Cobra rear bumper/decklid/spoiler if we can come across them for the right price!!

I never looked at the tires, my Uncle put them on when we got them, I'll have to double check them and see - may help w/those god awful 60' times, lol.

No clearance issues here. Rear-end sits in less than 1/2" on either side (probably more like a 1/4" - 1/2" total), and then we got the 10.5" wide '03 Cobra rims on the back w/the 315s on there. Didn't have to roll any fenders, didn't have to pound any inner fenders w/the BFH, and didn't even have to use spacers, extended studs, etc.

And yes, it's a BLAST to drive!!!!!!!! We're lining up a 90mm Lightning MAF and a custom dyno tune from one of the local EFI tuners here in Florida!!
