I'm purchasing a 2.9 whipple for my 13 5.0 and I was wondering if there were any reccomendations as to additonal purchases or insight from anyone else that has done this. Thanks in advance!

I went with a jlt carbon fiber intake and twin 65 mm throttle body with Jon Lund email tune. Couldn't be any happier.

What's your boost level? Track times ? Dyno results?

It was 10psi it stock manifolds and catless xpipe. 8psi with long tube. Dyno at 590rwhp email tune. Was trying to find someone to dyno tune here in Houston but couldn't find someone at that time. When I did my install. Track time was 1/4 @11.7 at 126 mph on a sorry track with no traction on 1 and 2 gear. Once it hook it felt real good. I had 3.73 gear at the time. I got 3.31 now but haven't been back to the track. Going tomorrow to the 1/8 and see how it hooks.

Did you have trouble hooking up cause of the 3.73?

What's the max amount of boost I can run without messing with internals

For 500, 5000, 50,000 or 100,000 miles? :D
The answer is: it varies, you have a decent sized supercharger there and sooner or later you are going to need a built motor.

I'm on a stock block, 9000 miles and a bunch of 10 second passes (at 7000+ DA) with a 2.9.

Intake and throttle body for sure. Then exhaust next, what goes in has to come out. Mines been 11.19 @ 126 on 10 psi.

Most of the whipples we have done

We use the tuner kit with the following
JLT Big Air
ID1000s
BAP
and if budget allows a CJ throttle body

That combo will make about 640-650 ish if you have exhaust
