1st time SCT X3 user

I got an X3 [non-enhanced] (used) with 3 unlocks on it. Just to play around I loaded the canned tune to my car and drove it. Got back home, and returned it to stock (still needed to purchase at this point and wasn't sure if I was going to buy it yet). Well when I did that it took away an unlock, which I expected. I am worried, however that each time I do this it will take an unlock. I only have 2 left now & I now own this X3...

I would hope that it will take an unlock if it saw a new VIN compared to the last one it saw.

Any time you return completely to stock, it assumes you're trying to unlock the tuner from the vehicle. You can change between tunes without it "costing" you an unlock, though.

If it says locked that means that it is currently married to a vehicle.

I have returned my car back to stock more times than I can count with no issues of running out of unlocks.
