Hey guys I am looking at getting a 95 Lightning, and I am wondering what the market looks like for mods. Also will 5.0 mustang engine components fit on the 351 block? I am thinking they will but I am not 100% sure. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes 5.0 parts will fit on the L's 5.8, the stock heads/intake/and van all came from a 5.0. As far as aftermarket parts, its kinda slim pickins but there are still company's that make some performance parts for us.

1.7 pedestal rockers
bassani makes a nice lightning specific exhaust(headers, mid pipe, catback)
fox 5.0 pullies fit
any 351 based intake swaps to it
any windsor heads
5.0 fox throttle bodies fit (i have a 70mm)
look into the punisher valve body, only mod w/ a SOTP gain from what i tell so far.
don't start thinking about a cam until you're ready to commit to swapping it to maf, so the $400 cam swap is actually about $1500ish

Thanks for the info guys. I didn't know they didn't have MAF, looks like I learn something everyday. I am just trying to get as much info as possible. I am trying to decide between a 95 L or a 66 F100. I need something I can haul parts in, let my puppy ride in and tow a 16' jon boat.
