Last night I picked up a crystal white cobra with saddle cloth interior, 1 of 4 produced. I got the VIN from the PO Monday to get insurance and noticed it was really low. The sequential VIN of the car is 00054, I called Ford Performance and they said it is Cobra #11 produced (I will be ordering the certificate later today). Per CARFAX the car was a Ford fleet vehicle registered on 10/10/95. I used to be a tier 1 supplier for Ford including all SVT products so I got a hold of a few of the guys I knew from those days and asked about 1996 production, I got a couple of different answers, one saying that the first 10 were used for engineering samples (crash test etc.) because of the new engine, the other guy said that 2-3 were given to high level executives and the rest were used for engineering samples (crash test etc.). At some point in its life it had a Vortech supercharger installed and a few other bolt ons but is basicall stock otherwise and only has 65,000 miles. Needless to say I am excited about this car. If anyone can shed some light on the other 3 white/saddle cloth cars or the first 10 produced I would love to hear it. I will be posting up better pics when I get them
