The time has come for me to part ways with my Cobra. The car is a blast, but it mostly sits in the garage and takes up space. Below is an overview of the car:
  • 1996 Mustang Cobra
  • Black Exterior and Interior
  • 116878 Miles
  • Rebuilt Title

The long block in the car was built by Modular Performance back in 2008 and has less than 10,000 miles on it. I will do my best to list all of the modifications made.

Engine:
  • Ford Racing Boss 5.0 Cast Iron Block
  • Kellogg Stroker Cobra Crank
  • Diamond Modular 4v Pistons Flat Top w/notches (compression ratio is just under 11:1)
  • Diamond SS ring set
  • Manley stroker rods w/ARP2000 rod bolts
  • ARP main studs
  • 01 Cobra Ported Heads
  • Custom Hitech Motorsports Cams
  • Melling oil pump w/ billet gears
  • Canton Oil Pan and Windage Tray
  • Mod Camponents Adjustable Cam Gears
  • FR500 Shortrunner Intake
  • ATI Harmonic Damper
  • JLT Intake
  • American Racing SS 1 3/4" Headers with SS X Pipe
  • Bassani Catback
  • 03 cobra 39lb injectors and MAF
  • Walboro 255lb/hr in-tank pump
  • LDC head cooling mod

Drivetrain/Suspension:
  • Aluminum Flywheel and Drive Shaft
  • 4.30 Gears
  • Baseline Suspensions Street Launch UCA kit
  • Strange Adjustable Shocks/Struts
  • UPR Front Coilover Kit
  • H&R super race rear springs

Issues:
  • The car does exhibit symptoms of failing rod bearings (knocking under light loads around 2-3k rpm)
  • There is an oil leak coming from the Canton windage tray. I could never get it to seal properly and recommend removing it.
  • Needs an updated tune and has trouble holding an idle at times
  • Driver's side front fender has some paint missing and rust spots forming.
  • Roof has a slight dent in it

I am sure I left some things out. The car also comes with: a set of ET Streets mounted on 16" wheels, 01 Cobra upper intake, and 8 coil on plug modules.

Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Car is located in Hood River, OR and the asking price is $6,500 obo.

It was definitely a fun build. Life got busy and the car has been parked as a result.
