spent the weekend tracking down my fuel issues and I removed everything and worked backwards.

Disassembled the regulator and found some small debris. I put everything back together and now its regulating without maxing out the adjustment at only 6psi.

So I had S550 5.0 badges back in 2015 but they are now pretty overplayed. Plus with the 363 its no longer a 5.0 so I decided I needed something different.

The Fox Saleens had "race craft suspension" and I really liked that touch. So I decided to do a little tribute to that. Since I have the full Maximum Motorsports setup I decided to have some billet badges made.

Here is what I came up with.

I really liked the way they looked but I didn't want them to stick out like a sore thumb so I decided to color match the badges. Started spraying them gray to match the molding.

Next step was to paint the milled out areas to match the body.

I ended up spraying the badge with clear in order to bring some shine to the red in the badge.

Cleaning up the adhesive.

Here is the finished product.

I want to have the verbiage "suspension by" on top but im struggling to find the spacing and size that looks good.

nicely done!!!! what did you use to get inside the lettering so nicely?

I used some artsy paint brushes. they have a bristle that is super stiff except for the very tip and its about 1/16th wide. I was able to dip the brush in the paint and let the paint drip transfer into the void when I touched it in there. So there were no brush strokes per se, just dab in the paint then dab in the lettering. The wider parts of the letters I would dip the brush half way in and that gave me a large drop, the skinny parts of the letter I would dip the brush 1/4 of the way in and drip that into the letter. Two coats of the red in the voids.

Each coat took me about an hour per emblem. It was tedious and tested my patience.

Just got back from the Fabulous Fords Forever car show this weekend. I towed the car out on Friday morning 5am. Met up with a few other guys and cruised out on the 6 hour ride.

BTW this was the first long tow with the new to me truck and I must say I am really happy with how it did. EOT and Coolant temp were never more than a 13 degree delta max. Majority of time it was only 8-10 with a load on it at that. Trans temp high was 165, EGT's maxed at 1050 degrees and that was only for a moment. This was towing at 70 going up a decent grade for 10 straight miles.

Anyhow, we got there and decided to go for a cruise. As you may know I was having fuel issues so I was a bit nervous. Cali traffic is bad and the lights last forever. Plus it was HOT outside. But the car did great, it idled fine in traffic and stayed cool the whole time.

43 miles on the build!

Friday and Saturday we hung out a lot in the parking lot as there was a lot of cars out there. Almost a pre show to the show lol.

Snapped a video of me heading out to fill up with some 100 octane after our cruise.

After we cruised around I needed to wash the car. Normally I would go to the quarter car wash but I decided to hire a mobile guy to come out and wash it in the parking lot.

Morning of the show we decided to get up early and get in line

The show was really great due to the fact that there were so many of you on here that have been following the thread and came by to let me know it looks better in person than on the thread. These things really mean a lot to me and makes me so glad that I kept going on the project. Days like these make it all worth it.

I didn't get a chance to walk around the show because there were a lot of times there were crowds around the car, I wanted to make sure I was there to actually meet all the people who were watching the progress through the years.

Headed home we ran across a few local mustang guys and they snapped this pic of me heading home.

Again, if you stopped by to say hi and talk to me about the car, I really appreciate it and it was such a blast chatting with everyone. Show was a huge success.

The show looked so awesome as does your Fox. Next year will be even better when we cruise out there together.

For sure man. BTW im putting AC in my garage this week so if you wanna wrench in the AC over the summer let me know!!

Easily my most favorite four eye of all time. Car looks great, OP!

Thanks man, I appreciate that.

Never been a 4 eye fan, but your car is sex on wheels

I know the feeling, I passed on this car 8 months before I actually bought it back in 1999. Im glad I went for it though! Thank you!

Not much to update. I was able to cruise around a bit before the heat really set in. I now have 101 miles on my build and its put away for the summer.

I really want to get back out onto the track... So I started thinking about doing some track days... I quickly realized that my car was too nice to track it. So I began looking at other cars I could have fun with and I ended up doing something....

Its a 1998 Cobra with 25k miles on the clock. Everything is bone stock on the car with the exception to a stereo system, springs (not sure the brand but they are red) and weld in mufflers. My plan is to sell the stereo, the interior pieces and strip the car down to the bare minimum and make this thing a dedicated track car. I will be starting off leaving the car stock with nice tires for the track. Slowly I will modify the suspension, the goal is to get the max grip package from MM of course.

Someone said I should make a second build thread.... what do you say? Want to follow me for another 3 years?

Hahaha. I will probably start one.

I would have loved an R however I dont have that kind of money to throw at something and just beat the crap out of it. I may just make it look like an R though. R tribute!

I have upset some people already on IG. Its going to be completely gutted and will be used as a track car. Stay tuned for a build thread.

Upset some people? About what?

I mean, from what I can tell, your work is pristine. What could they possibly have to be upset about?
