This is my brother's car that I am selling for him, it was his daily driver for 2 years, and then turned into a hobby car for the last 6-7 years. It has always been garage kept the last 9 years.

It is a 1966 Ford Mustang coupe with a 289 V8, red (not original), black interior, 3-speed auto on the floor. The car has a rebuilt engine and transmission about 12k miles ago, shift kit, 4bbl Holley carb, Weiand stealth intake manifold, slightly bigger cam, electronic ignition, shorty hedman headers with dual exhaust. The car has 73k on the clock, but I'm sure it's more than that. It also has brand new tires all the way around. Interior is in good shape, a few rips in the headliner is all, has a tape player and Pioneer speakers. The car has some rust bubbling a little on one of the quarter panels it looks like, undercarriage has a little, I think under the door jams were bondoed. The car is 40 years old so it's not perfect, althought by the pictures you can tell it's in good shape for it's age.

The only thing wrong with it that I know of is a header leak on the passenger side header. It doesn't affect the driving except if you punch it real hard it will pop. Just needs a new gasket is all. Also, the low beams tend to come off and on after driving with them on for a while, hi beams always work, don't know if these cars have voltage regulators, but that's what fixed my headlight problem on my old Barracuda...cheap part from the local parts store. I drove the car around this weekend for about 3-4 hours, it was close to 100* with high humidity and the car never thought about overheating. Runs great, starts up perfect, shifts very firm, no slipping.

The car is located in Clarksville, TN.

Asking $7500 OBO, contact me at [email protected], I will try to answer all the questions I can since it's not my car.

Here is a startup video in which you can see how well it starts up and idles in/out of gear. You can also hear the header leak, the vibrating when I put it in gear is just from the gas pedal shaking from the cam.
