Looking to go to 18s. 9.5 front/11 rear but would like to be no less that 28" tall tire. What are the options for tires out there with a drag radial rear?

I know it's not an 18, but I'm running the M/T ET Street 2 drag radial in 305/35/19 on a 19X11 wheel, which is right around a 28" tire, (measures out to 27.9).

Your closest M/T tire would be the 345/35/18 ET Street 2 but you need a 12" wide wheel for that tire.

These are just my street wheels/tires and plan to run Welds all around at the track with a 15X10 in the rear with an ET Drag.

You gonna run a full slick at the track? :burnout:

You will have to settle for a 27" front street radial. Best fit for a 9.5" front wheel is a 265mm or 275mm front tire. A 255mm will work, but will have a slightly stretched sidewall look on the wheel. (18x9.5" + 255/45/18 = same combo on 2007-2009 GT500)

Continental ExtremeContact 255/45/18 27" tall - used these on my 2009 GT500 stock wheel. It's a lighter tire with softer sidewall. Extra air pressure makes them handle better. I ran about 38 PSI in the fronts.

All 265mm front tires will be too short. 275mm tires will be closer, but still shy of 27" (~26.6).

However, on the back....

Nitto NT05R 315/40/18 28.03" tall

Recommended a perfect fit for 18x11" wheels.

I have pictures of 305/45's

This is 305/45/18 Nitto NT05r's, stock 235/50/18 front. The big tire looks good back there. These are 28.9" tall, I have 7200 miles on them and they are 2/32's from the wear bars(guess 10k is what I'll get from them). I have a dozen or so track days on them with a minimum of 3 runs each time. I have had little luck hooking these on N2O but I lost .09 in the 60' N/A best to best(1.61-265/40's-26.5 tall to 1.70 with these) due to gear loss from hight difference.
