I am going with 275/35/18 in back, but tire rack recommends 245/40/18 in front...sounds too small...

Anyone know if 265/35/18 would work?

They are Saleen wheels if that helps...

Thanks

if they are 18x10's in the back you need to go bigger than 275 IMO. If fronts are 18x9's I would do a 265/35!

They are 18x9 all around....i'm not sure it the 265s would rub in the front.

It would actually be better if 275/35/18 would work on the front so I could rotate them!

275/35/18 is fine on the front. Same diameter and nearly same width as stock. TireRack's automated recomendation to use narrower tire in front makes no sense-- I think it's based on pre Cobra Mustangs, where stock tire size was 245.

I got the ssr rime 18X10.5 for the back and I am running 295/35/18 and no problem with rubbing. also I have 18X9 for the front and running 275/35/18. I think 245 are to small

you are looking at them 265-35-18(9.5) front ,295-35-18 (10.5)rear on SSR GT3 wheels.

Definitely run the 275/35's up front. If you have 10.5's in the rear you can use the 315/30 BFG drag radials or at least a 295/35/18.

It depends on what brand tires you want to run. Ive got 265 BFG KD's on the front. And I think they are to wide for the 18x9's they bulge out on the rim. BFG tires run really wide, I wouldnt run a 275 BFG on the fronts thats for sure, but thats just me. If I were to do it over again I would run the 245/40 BFG's in the front and the 295/35's in the rear.

I have 275/35/18's all around, not rubbing. It will work fine. I have 18x9 Cobra R's.

I have Saleen rims.....18x9 all around.

I have BFG KDW's 265/35/18's all around. So yes, you will be fine with that combo in the front.

I just ordered new tires the other night since the BFG's are toast. But I can't say a bad thing about them, they are a great tire. I got about 20,000 miles out of them and I drive aggressive.

Good luck.

I have run 275's in the front with no problems, but you need to check the offset of your wheels. My 295/35/18 BFG drag radials rub a bit in certain situations in back, but the car is low. Steeda runs 285's in front with no problems, but they are Nittos and might run slim.

I'm running this combo as well. I would think more people would have this setup than not, considering this is what the car should have came with from the factory IMHO.
