Hey guys, I've decided that I'm going to convert my car to 5 lug and purchase a set of CCW Classics for my Vibrant Red 93 Cobra.

I was thinking though I havent seen to many 93's with 18's. Is there an issue with getting 18's to fit?

Has anyone ever seen a 93 with CCW's before?

Any suggestions on wheel size/fitting?

Any suggestions on how to convert to five lug?

Anything you guys can suggest I would appreciate it. :coolman:

I have seen it done with 235 width rubber but it almost looked like the car should have hydraulics or a carpeted dash with it. I think 17's are the perfect size for the fox body. Plus the tires are cheaper.

18's. IMHO. I've got 18x8's up front with a 245/40 and 18x9's in the rear with a 275/35. No rubbing issues even at full lock on my 88.

CCW's are a killer wheel. 18's would be awesome. My favorite wheel of theirs is the Classic. They look great polished or in the shotpeened anodized look. The best thing is that once you get them, you can easily change out the hoops if they ever get damaged or if you want to change your backspacing. Another plus is that they are one of the lightest 18" wheels out there. Mine are a little heavy at ~23-24lbs each.

I have 17X8 97 Cobra wheels with BFG KDW 245-45-r17 on my notchback. They rub the K-frame at full lock. However, I still am running ALL te 4cylinder suspension, if that has anything to do with this issue.

I run 18's (18x9) and they fit perfectly. Very aggressive looking. I run 265/35's all the way around.

I've posted this pictures in several threads (I hope you guys don't mind), but this is what they look like. This is the 5 lug conversion using all '98 cobra stuff, except I'm running the '03 anniversary red calipers front and rear. FRPP "C" springs, and '03 cobra Bilstien shocks and struts.

The tires I got off Ebay for about $113 shipped each new. If you've priced 17's or 18's lately you'll know that's a pretty good deal for Z rated tires. I have no regrets one bit.

Yep, 4 lug centers are available. Goodson had some at one time, I believe.

I didn't, but someone did for a Focus. CCW does make them in 4 lug. I'd go with the bigger 13" brakes in 5 lug. IMHO. Save all the stock stuff though. Put it all in boxes and forget it is there until you want it back on the car someday. Or just purchase the 4 lug brake kit mentioned above and get 4 lug CCW's. I'd go 5 lug though. Just my $.02

18's are killer!! Love those on that red Cobra. You can's see those pics too often IMHO. ;) I got my 18" tires from Discount Tire for $622 shipped to me. All total after alignment I spent $689.95. 18" tires are comparable to 17's since they are being put on so many vehicles now.

On my 93 Coupe I am running 18x9 (275x35x18) front and 18x10 (295x35x18) rear.

The fronts are a little close but dropping back to a 265x35x18 tire would give me a little more room. The rears clear fine, my car has Eibach Pro-kit springs and tailpipes clear too.
