I'm looking to buy some 15" pro stars for my 03 cobra with the IRS. I know I will have to grind a little but my question is what size wheels and slicks can I fit? I'm running H&R race springs w/o isos right now. I may go back to stock springs for better weight transfer though. Any insite would be greatly appreciated before I order them. I'm going w slicks and skinnys on the front by the way. Thanks!

I was thinking 15x8 rear or 15x10 if they would fit. Of course 15x3.5 or 15x4 for the front. What kind of back spacing, wheel spacers, and grinding is needed. Thanks again.

I run a 15x8 weld with 3.5 backspacing in back(grinding tie rod area). 15x3, 1.75 BS in front with 1" bolt on spacer. My tires are 26x11.5 et streets and 26x7.5 MT sportsman in front. pics with same size hoosiers on

That set up looks awsome. What kind of springs are u running? Any issues if I would go the 15x10 route in the rear over the 15x8's?

I run H&R sports. Can't really comment on whether 15x10's will work as I've never tried them. I know my 8's are close to the brake fitting on caliper. i hear some guys run the 10" though on irs.

Is a 4.5 or 5.5 backspace on the rear too much for the IRS?

Sorry I dont really understand backspacing all that much being I've never ran a drag wheel before. But I'm trying to buy some currently.

If you were to 10" ,a 4.5- 5.5 backspacing would probably be needed but not sure if it'll fit without some issues at caliper. With a 4.5 you would probably be out of wheelwell on a 10" wheel.

Well I guess I will just go with the 15x8's in the rear. Thanks for the advice! I realy don't want my wheels sticking out past the car.

One last one, what about a 15x10.5 with a 6.5 backspacing with 26x11.5x15 ET Streets?

Like I said I'm sorry I don't understand backspacing really. Also would those ET Streets be too much tire for my ~450hp Cobra?

I'm looking at two sets used right now, one set being a 15x8 with a 5.5 backspacer and 275 MT Drag Radials and then those.
