Did this on my last Fox with great results. Bought a '94 GT 130A alternator and the matching harness (also had a PMGR starter with the dual solenoid). Since I ran the harness up in front of the radiator, I had to cut and lengthen it - went to a junk hard and found a Taurus with a long harness (same guage wire), cut out about four feet of the wire and spliced it in.
You will also have to grind a notch out of the mounting bracket so the larger alternator will fit, but that is easy enough. Never had any problems.
