12.0s..... them 11s keep eluding me!

car is '13 auto brembo car with ORx and mike roush tune. tires were bald ass 295/55 et streets. DA was ~1500ft. I think in good air, and a 275/60 tire it'll pop off some 11.9s with just the xpipe/tune. until then, the 11s have still eluded me :mj:

first pass straight off the street was the 7.7@93/12.3@108... as u can hear, i had to let off, it got a lil squirly and i didnt like the way it felt, i was like the 3rd car down the track so i think i hit a lil moisture. best pass of the night was 12.04@116, best trap was almost 118. my 60s suck, i need a stall, but im determined to run a 11 before i do any more mods. i may disconnect the sway for the next outing.

I'll be honest brother, it took me a whole summer of trying to get my car to hit 11s, full weight, given my mild tune and low mods. It's possible, it just didn't come easy. It was kinda Cinderella, last day of the last season I finally get my act together and pull it off. Pretty satisfying.

3:15 gear? Why not a 275/50?

It still kind of makes me laugh. In 2014...we are disappointed in a 12.0 and 115mph plus traps with a tune and off-road pipe only in summer heat :lol:

Swaybar removal(race car mod :lol and a 275/50 will give you enough weight reduction and add a little gear to sneak you into the 11's. But 275/50's are most likely not gonna work with the next round of mods so maybe "borrow" some?

I'm seeing 1.57 60's on 18" DR's with the front sway bar on... Sounds like you just need a 265/45/18 Mickey Thompson to get that thing to hook. something small to not rob power, but sticky.

I'm not sure why, but once you break in to 11's you'll constantly hit them. When I was running my STi I was sitting at 12.0x to 12.1 all day. I finally broke in to the 11's when I ran off a 11.999 and then the VERY next run 11.76. It was like once I broke the barrier it was time to start aiming at the next one.
