I'm thinking about buying some 17x10.5 wheels with 315/35s mounted on them. I know i need the IRS bolt but what about a spacer? I have done searches and had various answers. I just need a straight up answer if it's needed or not? Lol thanks

Depends on the wheel offset and the tire you run, I have the FR500 10.5 and with Nitto 555 DR's didn't need a spacer but I have a set of Hoosier 315's and I need a 1/2 spacer for them to clear. I have 3" ARP wheel studs too.

I have the hex head bolt kit, and no problems with my 315's, it should also be noted I aligned my car so I only have -0.1 deg. of camber on both of my rear tires. Wanted to get my tires as far from the IRS cradle as possible while not having positive camber and not touching the fender on bumps.

I'm in the same boat. Ordering 17x10.5 tomorrow with 315 Nitto 555. I'm going to get spacers regardless, I like the wide stance as long as the tires are not sticking out.

I have 10.5 reps with 315 Nittos 555, all I have is the low prifile IRS bolt. I did add a spacer, but that was just for looks. It will touch while jacked up in the air, but will clear once the car is down.

Yes, 1/4" is the thickest you can go safely with stock studs. I check them every once in awhile and none have loosened up.

What size spacer did you add?

I posted earlier in this thread, I only ran the spacers for looks. The spacers were not needed for clearance issues.

Low pro bolts and no spacer with 315 Nittos on FR500's and 10.5 replicas. I've ran both of those.
