What kind of 1/4 times are other 94-95 cobras running? The best i have run is a 14.0 and that was with a 2.3 60ft. How much hp and torque do you think im putting out? I had it dynoed before most mods and i ran 230rwhp and 270torque with exhaust only.

Mods: 1 5/8 headers (fms), phenolic spacer, cold air intake,65mm throttle body, promassair meter 75mm, adjustable fuel regulator, 155lph fuel pump, 3:55 gears, centerforce dual friction clutch, flowmaster 3chamber mufflers, h-pipe, hi flow cats, lowered 1 1/4 of an inch, H&R springs, struts, upper and lower control arms.

Well my heavy vert went a best of 14.5 @ 99 mph, this was on street tires with a high 2.2 with stock gears. That was when the car dynoed at 232 rwhp and 278 rwtq.
I haven't been back to the track for over a year, 116k miles on stock whining T-5 that won't last.
I did run at a 1/8 mile track and got a 9.50 and tried some ET streets and got down to a 9.0, don't remember the MPH. I had 3.73 gears at this time.
Last dyno I did I got 255 rwhp and 300 rwtq and am going to pull the T-5 and have a local guy rebuilt it.

My car is 3320lbs with 1/4 tank. No powershifting - impossible with my t-5, any attempt has resulted in massive grinding. Shift point is between 4900-5100.Launch rpm is 3500 - 4000 - riding the clutch out of the hole. My car has 103K miles and I did have to replace the clutch at 100K - winter ,so no futher track passes yet. Riding the clutch has yielded the best 60's, before that 2.3's is all I could manage. I have never run with slicks or drag radials.

95proof, those are some really nice times! I think in your case it can be attributed to the driver knowing what he is doing rather than relying on mods to make the car faster. High 1.90's- 2.0x 60 foot times are pretty hard to do with street tires. That MPH could get you a low 13. I dont want to sound like I know everything about this stuff, becasue I do not. I need lots of practice myself, but I know with the mods you listed you are getting some great times. Keep it up

Before the gears and pro-M, With just the mods below, I ran a 14.2@98mph with a 2.3 60ft time.
Hoping for some mid 13s with the addition of the gears and pro-M and maybe some traction.

fiveoh, I would think your car has the same potential as mine. The mods are close. I am surely no expert. Don't give up on 13's - I spent a long time chasing down a 13 second run - and I have a large stack of time slips to prove it! I would consider myself only an average driver. Lowering your 60ft time is definitely key. Track prep has alot to do with 60ft when you are on street tires.

I've since added a nice set of AFR 165 heads, had my upper and lower extrude honed, and I'm in the middle of installing a custom cam, I had made just for my set up. The 13.4 was the best before the heads and the new cam. Hope this helps.
