1/4 mile time I might expect

Hey guys, next saturday I am going to fontana raceway to run my car and I wanted to know what you guys think I will run. I was reading their track rules online and noticed that a helmet is required if you run below 14's sec in the 1/4. So do you guys think I even have a chance of getting out of the 14's with the mods listed in my sig for a 93 gt with 161k miles? This will be my first run with this car and I"m sure I probably won't but I just want to check in case it is a possibilty.

My guess low 15's If you do not get a good 60 ft and your an average driver....you'll be lucky if you break 15

I'm pretty sure I'll break 15's easily, considering my last car could dip into high 14's and this one is definately faster. Not only that but my car is a manual not auto.
But thx for answering my question then guys, I was pretty sure I wouldn't need a helmet but just wanted to be sure it wasn't a possiblity.

Well just got back and I didn't get to race. I had no idea what type of class I would be racing in since this is only my second time to the drag strip. I ended up finding out I would have to do bracket racing with sceda and they charge $50 bucks a day on top of the $30 for the tech car so I ended up just going home. Just couldn't justify paying $80 to test my car out. Oh well I guess there is always next time, maybe the ford fun weekend event in october.

There's always Irwindale on thursdays. Yea it's a 1/8 but it's deffinitly fun for $20.
