Went to mmpdragracing.com this weekend to try for the new best. Temperature was 60deg, humidity was 66%. The car is still on stock tires, clutch, blah blah blah. Mods are Kooks headers, Vararam CAI, B&B Rt. 66 exahust, 160 t-stat, and an MTI tune. Car made 416whp and 418wtq. Slip breakdown was:

60' - 1.948
330 - 5.219
1/8 - 7.876
MPH - 94.28
1000 - 10.119
1/4 - 12.005
MPH - 120.01

I have the mph for 11's, just need to launch a bit harder. There was a really cool colored green cobra there(mystic or something??) that I was told was pretty fast. I only saw him run once and he broke something. Didn't know if the owner was on here and could clarify what he broke.

nice results for simple bolts on! Do you have any more planned mods? Would drag radials help your 60ft?

I am going to purchsae a new LS3 Z51 within the next 1-2 weeks, cant wait!!!

Nice mph. Looks like you need some traction and you'll be deep in the 11s. I went 11.50 at that same mph on nittos when my car was full weight and before the port.

DR's would help but I want 11's on stock tires...so that isn't an option for right now. I am going to stick with these mods for right now. The car just broke 5k miles, there is no reason to go that far beyond this when I still have a ton of warranty available and can still use it for most problems. Anything beyond this level of modification will start to decrease the like-li-hood of anything powertrain/motor related being warrantied if it should break. That said, I might do gears down the road(stealth mod)...and I do plan on eventually doing a FAST intake mani when they come out with one for the LS3. When I decide to really get serious I will cam the car.

There's a guy down here with an 08 A6, same mods as you except the Vararam CAI. The track was amazingly preped and it was mineshaft DA. He went 11.70 @ 120 on the runflats. It was mid 1.8 sixty'.

Def get the launch down and your good for 11's

I understand. I wanted to put this in: :wf: However, I figured to be polite and ask first.

If that doesn't make me a douchebag now. Otherwise, then it is :wf:

I take it that you were a former Ford/SVT owner who switched over.

BTW, your Vette seems to be a very strong runner with the nice speed and elapsed times.

I like them, and would probably have one in my stable only if I can afford one. :coolman:

Except I did not know the Vette boards are full of douchebags per what you said.

People on there dealing with Mid life crisis, maybe.

I know the C6 vettes are hard runners, and they are almost like sex on wheels.

I would love the C6Z, but...

I'm cheap, so that's why I'm a Terminator owner. :-D

Actually, I have never owned a Ford. When I sold my Evo, I was looking at Termi's, Vettes, etc. I was scared away from the Termi's because of the dredded head tick and didn't feel that Ford had a clue as to what was causing it. Not sure if it has been fixed by now, but back when I was looking to buy, I hadn't heard anything new. I still very much enjoy this forum because while it is an SVT site, it is a great melting pot of very fast cars:beer:. The vette site is very politically correct, which takes away all the fun lol. Cobras are great cars and VERY fast. Got to love how much power they can make and the times they can put down for such little $$$ in mods.

Although the head tick with the DOHC's has gotten a ton of publicity, in actuality, it has very rarely occurred. Probably about 1 in 60 03/04's has been diagnosed correctly with a head tick condition. And while Ford may plead ignorance to it, they were pretty good about repairing them when the warranty situation was positive.

You know, there's "douche bags" on every forum and while most SVTPer's are great folks, there's some real cool Vette owners out there as well. We do a Cobra vs. F-body shootout at the track every year and the Vette guys are a lot of fun to race and hang out with.

I agree, but those guys who are cool to hang out with never post because they are always racing lol. The cool cobra guys still post so it makes for good internet conversation.

I don't understand why people say that the corvetteforums is full of douchebags? To me everyone over there are cool expect the people who don't understand why one person can go fast with a stock car or bolt on car. I like this forum better because of the vids and trash talk, none of that over there. Good mph though.
