Just picked up a set of 19" wheels off a 2010. Mounted them on the 09 tonight (as I watched 5+" of snow fall here in Atlanta:shrug
. I understand the differences in the two TPMS systems (inside the wheels with bands vs. in the valve stem), my question is more related to what reads these sensors?
Is is possible that something could be switched on the 07-09 to read the signal from the valve stem sensors? Is this function embeded in the ECU? Seems like there would be a decent demand if an aftermarket company could come up with something. Anybody with knowledge of the Ford TPMS system want to chime in?
