My Mother-in-law's Sonic Blue Escape looked like it hadn't seen wax since '05, so I offered to detail the whole thing for her. It ended up taking 5 or 6 hours to buff the whole thing and wet sand about a dozen small scratches out. I used the Norton Ice system, and Mothers Sealer and Glaze, as well as Mothers wax.

I'm not a pro, but I sure like the way the Norton stuff works.

My neighbour saw me buffing the Escape yesterday and came over to see if I could do anything with the headlights on his Impala. he dropped it off today, I hit them with 1000 wet on a DA, and then 1500 wet. They're still not like new, but they're much clearer than before.

We go to 2000 then 3000 before buffing but the paper is expensive. I just paid $125 for 2 boxes of 3" sandpaper discs.
