Have a few questions about the 05 GT short block! How much have you guys seen a bare block go for? How much power will the stock shorts block take in comparison to a standard 99-04 GT short block? Is it possible to swap 03-04 Cobra internals into a gt block? Aluminum block is around 75LBS lighter right?

The '05 GT shortblocks still suck. They have hypereuctectic pistons, weak PM rods and rod bolts, and a cast crank. Yes you can swap 03/04 Cobra internals into a WAP Al block, but the Zollner pistons are only good for ~550rwhp reliably before the skirts collapse. If you're going power adder I would stick with an iron block for increased ridgity. If you have to have Al, go with a Teksid 93-01 Al block.
