05 focus Q

On my 05 focus I am looking to put an exhost set up on it, my friend put an 04 set up on his 05 and said it fit fine, and it runs fine, and it sounds perfect. Anyone see any reason not to do this and save some money since it seems the 05 kits are more expensive?

Different engine, and the exaust manifold is on the back side (firewall) side of the engine compartment. So an '04 system, Zetec, might not fit.

Or, are all non SVTF's '04s Duratechs?

No, the only 04 with Duratec were in green states, with the 2.3L as the only engine avail in a focus in those states. The 04 should not fit on an 05 unless it's a duratec. E-
