Ran my buddies Fullbolt on, HPE S-cam/FAST 90/90 C5Z06 (445 RWHP 390 RWTQ) with my fullbolt on, LS6 ported heads/MS3 cam/FAST 90/90 (455 RWHP 385 RWTQ) C5 coupe 6spd. We went from a 75 punch and I pulled 1/2 car (his front bumper was at my door) on him all the way to 130mph where we shut down. We also went to the track and he owned me there. he was cutting 1.7 60fts powershifting, nittos at 15psi and going 11.9s @ 120. I on the other hand was cutting disappointing 2.3 60fts on pirelli p-zeros at 27psi, granny shifting (stock clutch), and going 12.3s @ 119... Overall i owned him on the highway but he owned me at the track. I think those were some pretty good times in this kind of weather; heat and humidity (DA was about 3100)

Oh yea, we both, the C5Z and me tag teamed this P/E/I and tune 04 Cobra on the way to the track, lol you should have seen the look on his face when we put an easy 2 cars on him after 100mph and shutting down around 110-115............I guess he thought we were stock w/ just catbacks....

if your only trapping 119, a Pulley/Exhaust/intake and tuned Terminator should be right there with you, or faster.. (unless it was a sick snake)

but, anyhow.. good kill..

Remember he said he was granny shifting on a stock clutch and launched with a 2.3. If he pulled his friend's Cobra from a roll his car is probably capable of trapping a little higher.

Good runs and nice times.

Is 1.7 a good 60' time for a C5Z06? How are those cars to launch? I wonder if they are harder to launch then a Cobra?

I cut a 1.68 60ft on a intake and catback c5 frc on runflats.... The only good launch that I have ever had in this car, It can be done.... but you just need good tires and a 1.6 is no problem

Your post is full of chevy stuff and I am feeling the need to defend my fallen cobra brethren but alas no amount of e-bragging about how fast my car is would help his feelings so I will tell you this..........nice kill.

my last car with only a cam trapped 117 stock gears. A lighter car with roughly 40 more rwhp would easily go in the low 120's.

In the 1/4 mile, the p/e/i Cobra should hang. Tougher I think when you race like he did into the triple digits. Seems to be where the Vette's start pulling ahead of the less aerodynamic Cobra's.

Guys, the DA was 3100, of course my traps are going to be down a lil...In colder weather with a much much better DA and lower humidity, the car could easily trap 122-123.

nope it wasn't a sick snake, in this weather down here in Texas, i see Pulley/Exhaust/Intake and tuned terminators trapping 115mph all day long....of course with a better DA, colder weather and lower humidity, they would be trapping 118-119....

I currently own a 600+ RWHP cobra soon to be 8 or 9 once i decide on a turbo kit and find a T56 tranny, it sits next to the vette in the garage, so i'm not dissing cobras, just posting a kill....Apparently, this cobra owner thought he was superior to our vettes, and this Bowtie was not going to back down to that snake....

I was at the track not to long ago with temps around the 105 range and a DA of 4500'. Your standard pullied Cobra was trapping around 112-113 with KB Cobra's trapping 120-123. An 04 Z06 with exhaust, DR's and a 100shot of the juice could only get 123. Down quite a bit due to the damn weather.

i don't think a car running nitrous would be affected by DA and humidity... correct me if im wrong.

I wouldn't think so either, or at least not as much, but he was moaning and groaning how down he was from his average 127-128 traps
