i got 3.73, i m runnin 6lbs of boost and puttin 441 to the wheels and irs hop is terrible, unless u have a solid axle i would say stick to 3.73, i wouldn't go no further, yeah go 4.10 if ur gettin a 6-spd coz of the different gear ratio :D

3.73 are fine! I know because I have them and it's very very easy to break tires loose. However 4.10's will be good just more aggressive. If 3.73's are not an option for you than go with 4.10.

what suspension work do you have done? There are things that can be done to help eliminate the wheel hop...

I have 3.55s right now with my PT88 turbo and I have been kicking the idea of going to 2.73s or 3.27s If you want a turbo for your Cobra I will sell you my whole setup....

i do agree with the above guys with respect to blowing the tires traction....BUT centri Cobras LOVE the gear. 4.10s will be a good median since you do intend to race...at the track! ha!

Not sure if most people here are realizing that the T56 first gear is 2.66 compared to the T45 or 3650's 3.37 first gear ratio.

The 2.66 first gear and 4.30 gears is like having 3.27's with the stock tranny.

I have the 4.30's and they work very well with the T56 tranny. I'm at 525RWHP. Granted, you will need a drag radial to get the power to the ground. With my BFG's out back the tires do NOT spin, but that gear goes by FAST!!

When I put my stock wheels back on prior to winter storage the Nitto's barely broke loose.

My vote is 4.30's or 4.56 gears. Take it from someone that is there themselves.

I too have a T-56 and 4.30's plus a supercharger that = 400rwhp and can second all that you said.

I would stick with 3.55's or 3.73's. I have 642rwhp and 335/35/17's on the back of my Cobra and I can roast them in fourth gear @ 40 mph. I couldnt imagine what my car would be like with 4.10's or 4.30's. LOL No need for a short gear like that when you have massive power.

Dont get the p1-sc, get the d1 for about 400 more and you will see your goal.
Exactly! Besides your going to risk mph in the 1/4 if you tackle those larger gear ratio's. Forced Induction loves lower gear ratios. Consider one day slamming a Performance Automatic or a Lentech tranny in with a wider gear ratio. It will capitolize your 3.55/3.73. A little NoS through the intercooler and your ready to really see what the d1sc is all about. Go eat up those KB's. If that bottom end is forged and you've upgraded the headgaskets, watch what 30lbs of boost is all about with a 50 shot through the intercooler.

545 hp and 4.30s I hope you can fit a set of 335s under the backend, Id stay with 355s or 373s with that much power. You dont need the torque multiplication that 4.10 or 4.30 gears will give you. hth 2881

I went with 4.30s on my car because Im N/A and plan on staying that way,,,,for now.

04torchred What is your torque goal is the more important question? At what rpm do you hope to make it at. Don't do gears until you find out where your peaks are occuring. Unless your peak torque is going to come in at 5500rpm go with 3.90's unless this is a drag only car. I think 4.10 would be max you would want to go.

Dyno it first then do gears, just my suggestion. It is kinda ass backwards to do gears first then get your horsepower/torque if you know what I am trying to say.

Schyler

Peak torque always occurs at 5250rpm, no matter what gear, motor, or power adder.
