I took the IRS out of my 03 Cobra yesterday, and I am going to put it in my 03 GT this week, so I can build up the solid out of the GT for my Cobra.

I was wondering if anyone knows how much I need to shorten the driveshaft for the GT. Im going to use the stock Cobra aluminum shaft in the Cobra with the solid, the stock GT driveshaft in the GT with the IRS, but Im under the assumption that the GT shaft wont fit with the 3650 and the IRS. I was thinking the overall dimension of the shaft should be the same as an 01 Cobra shaft. Anyone have any experiences? Or anything I should be aware of during the swap, as I dont want my GT to be down longer than a day or 2...........

Thanks

You have to swap pinion flanges! Use the Cobra driveshaft with the Cobra, using the IRS Flange. Use the GT driveshaft with the IRS Diff, using the GT Flange for the IRS change!
