03 GT how many flywheel bolts?

How do you tell how many bolts the flywheel has without dropping the tranny. I have an 03 GT with (i'm assuming) the 3650 manual tranny. These trannys have the 11" clutch correct? i might be able to pick up a new 8 bolt flywheel cheap but i'm not sure how many bolts the stock flywheel has....any help would be most appreciated.

As far as I know its a 6 bolt. I will recheck that and let you know.

Check you vin number. I remember reading something that if the 8th digit is an "X" then its a 8bolt and if its a "W" then its a 6bolt. I am still trying to verify this though.

the only gt's from the 99-04 era with the 8 bolt crank were the windsor motors built in 2000, all others were a 6 bolt. and no, an 8 bolt flywheel will in no way shape or form work on your car

the 03's/04 came with 6 bolts. Some of the late 2000's and early 01's came with Windor blocks and 8 bolt cranks. Those guys are lucky...

If that is true i am one of the few that have a 2v 4.6 with a 8 bolt crank.
