ok, i finally got to race my friend at the track. Got a vid too.

The first race we had went to him a couple years ago (I was stock). Next race I had CAI and catback and that round went to me. Third round i had mods in sig, he got a couple more things and I won that one too.

Here's round 4.

http://www.youtube.com/v/893uDeYwFG8

His mods are cam, longtubes, o/r y pipe, corsa catback, cutout, injectors, pulley, lid, K&n, 4.10's, subframe connectors, strut tower brace, and 315 street tires (BFG).

Times were:
..........Me............TA
RT........005.........055
60'.......2.299.......2.258
330'.....5.646.......5.838
1/8......8.483.......8.705
MPH.....89.312.....86.322
1000....10.837.....11.141
1/4......12.862.....13.184
MPH.....111.158...110.677

Weather was 75*, 30.00 Baro, 30% humidity, 100ft above sea level.

I came to find out i was letting go of the gas a little early (cant tell where the finish line is) and I shortshifted the 3-4 a little. I probably would have trapped 112-112.5.

For reference, I saw a new LS7 Z06 trap 114, SRT 8 charger trap 100-101, RT Charger @ 95, and a few pullied cobras in the 111-113's.

So did anyone from the Bay go on svtp go?

Dang that reminds me of when I went my last time... I couldn't drive very well and my clutch was horrible after the first run. I should be much better at driving now. I just need to get new tires and hit the track and hope the rear don't snap!

(24 Mar 06)
R/T = .464
60' = 2.246
330 = 5.782
1/8 = 8.650
MPH = 87.64
1000= 11.063
1/4 = 13.068
MPH = 113.33

Nice video and you guys seem to run like my roommate and I, he has 03 Cobra. He just recently hit the track and pulled better time than mine. I love these grudge races!

I was there and i don't know what was going on with some of the cars out there last night. I don't know why some of the cars were a lot slower than they are suppose to be.

Did you hit your brakes in time for that one? Nice vids!

haha NOPE. I almost forgot! haha ABS went on (you can hear the tires screetch if you listen closely). 13.48 @ 84. The ticket lady told me it was too fast and then noticed that since it was faster than 13.49 that i needed a rollbar too. I waited about an hour then ran again, no problems. :burnout:

what mods does he have?

intake, off road x-pipe, axle back, pullies, delete plates, 4.10s, tune and drag radials.

He usually runs 13.0's all day on 20 inch wheels with nitto street tires. And he was cutting 1.9's.

We thought he would run in the 12's for sure because he put is stock 18's back on with bfg drag radials. We have no idea why he was running so slow.

His best is 13.0 at 108

ya i know, but they are both daily drivers. I wouldnt want to get drag radials on my daily if i only get to go to the track 2 MAYBE 3 times a year and have to replace the tires every year. Last time i ran DR's on my daily (Nitto) I hated them. When running on them without a fresh burnout they had worse traction than my regular street tires. Maybe next year I will get an extra set of wheels to run some dr's for the bi-annual special occasion.
