wondering what is the max safe timing at 4000 and 5000 rpm at wot on an 03 cobra with jlt cai, stieg. stage 6 port, 2.76 upper, bbk l/t's, catted h pipe. it's seeing about 12 lbs of boost and load is 175-180%. Right now I have 13deg at 4000rpm, 17 at 5000, and 20 at 6500. Only made 459rwhp and 447rwtq. wondering if more advance is safe for 93 oct.

You have ALOT of headroom to expand, On 93 I would not go past 22 timing, But thats just me.

By the way your numbers seem a little down, Who is doing your tuning? Any belt slip? Pegging the Injectors or MAF? Let me know!

I am doing the tuning. Maf is at 4.9v at the top. It's not running out of fuel 11.8:1 accross the board. It's holding 12lbs boost steady in 60 deg air. I figured I could run 22deg at 6500, but I don't know how much I can run at 4000 and 5000 rpm.
I see you have a similar set up. How much boost do you see? This car also has a flowmaster cat back. Maybe some power is lost through that?

Do you have a stock cobra bottom end on B heads with no port? If so your numbers are right on and realistic. IMO the lower end timing seems a little on the low side but I'm not tuner, but I'm sure there are a lot of guys here that can give you input on what timing should be.

it's a 2003 Cobra. Mod list

JLT RAI
Steigmier stage 6 port
2.76 bf upper w/idler
BBK long tubes
catted h pipe
flowmaster 2.5" cat back
afco heat exchanger

We were hopoing for 470-480rwhp. I would like to add some timing and head back to the dyno. I just dont know how much more to add safely on 93oct.
