They should at lease offer a 10% discount if you buy all this stuff. That would come out to $3775.
Hope I didn't forget anything.

Our STOCK engines will not hold up. I already looked into it. You would be better off getting the new Kenne Bell(if it ever comes out) or any twin screw blower or if you want top end high revin power go with a vortech, paxton, ATI or powerdyne. The engineers at ford said the results were "disasterous" when they put the blower on the aluminum block.(Dont quote me on that)
It was something along the lines of that.

Typical ford bullshit. Ask them about the new GT40. You know, the one with 500 hp,same blower and an aluminum block.

Well Ford/SVT did say that a stock '01 aluminum block did suffer catastrophic failure when they ran the current '03 set up on it for any length of time. Its not that aluminum isn't suitable for forced induction per se' but rather that the configuration/construction of the '01 block wasn't really suitable. I'm sure they could have redesigned it to sustain ton's of boost but that cost's $$ that probably isn't worth it in such a limited run application. GT-40 is totally different because while its a limited run its also 6 figures.

FWIW people will debate all day about this subject and reference anecdotal evidence of various 99's and '01's running with 8-10#'s of boost with a good tune and no signs of failure.

The bottom line is that Ford tried it and wasn't happy with the results. Now typically manufacturers do tend to run their tests under much more extreme situations than most consumers run into and they do like to build in a little safety margin.

Keep in mind it seems one of the 1st things lots of people do on the L's and '03 Cobra's is slap on a smaller pulley to increase the boost.........

I got a question for you all- how many pre-03 blown cobras do you all know of out there? EXACTLY-theyre are thousands runnin boost very happily. That OEM setup is not gonna put anymore(or less) stress on the engines than any other blower on the market. Its all in the tune, I've heard it said don't get blown unless ya can afford a new shortblock(and knowing how greedy people tend to be with boost I believe it). It was just a cost cutting method, by Ford- what's wrong with our engines is our pistons- hey they were only designed to support 320hp at the crank- an they couldn't really do that in the first place. ;)
