Anyone does this yet?

Where there any major issues?

What kind of price are the 03 motors going for?

Thanks

Why would anyone want a heavyass 03-04 motor in a 96-98? You build en engine with a 96-98 block and not only is it stronger than a newer cobra motor, it's LIGHTER.

the aluminum block in the 96-98 cobra's is made by a company called Teksid. They are an italian company that also produces blocks for ferrari. the teksid blocks are capable of handling 1000 hp. with forged rods and pistons these are very strong motors.

for the love of god! Leave the poor SN95 alone and just buy a terminator! And where can we find out more info about our wonderful engines? I was telling a guy at work, who happens to drive a brand new 350z, about the italian made blocks, and he was looking at me like I was crazy. I'd like to learn more.

thats why you swap all the 03 cobra crap onto the aluminum block. best of 03 cobra world with aluminum block, i'd do it in a second.

what are the best good to swap onto the sn95 block... ie heads? cams?

Also my understanding is that the 03/04 will also do 1000hp on the stock block... what specificly makes the sn95 block stronger?

bc its cheaper. Ford sells the complete SC engine for what, 12k..

built bottom end...parts...approx. 2k
labor---2k+
heads bc 96-98s dont accept a lower manifold intercooler
7k for a blower w/ intercooler
+ fuel system, etc.

all this adds up boss
