Will they fit into an '01 carrier? Upgrading to a Torsen T2R later this month and considering a half shaft upgrade while I've got everything apart. If I need to change anything inside the pumpkin in order to accomodate them, this is the time to do it.

If your thinking about doing this, you need to go read the thread over on modularfords.com under the 4v section. It is a really good sticky about some killer half shafts. If I could use them I would definitely think about buying them.

you may want to consider the T2 instead of the T2R.

Some people have reported better performance with the T2 when using the IRS. See Blown46Cobra on the Corral. he can answer some of your questions.
